This PRP® Drop-In Trigger Kit for the original XD® models in 9mm, .40 cal & .45 cal ( all except the thumb safety model) contains our famous striker safety lever and trigger to remove the long trigger pre-travel on the XD® trigger. It includes two different trigger springs and striker springs (the competition weight springs (the lightest weight) are marked with blue ink). The other reduced weight springs are the sear spring and the striker safety spring which helps lower the pull weight. To help speed up the reset, our trigger is made of tough light weight polymer and is now available in aluminum anodized black or silver. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. Using this method of over travel stop removes added stress on the trigger bar that are present with any of the other over travel stop method. This trigger is a Springfield Armory® OEM part available on production for XD® & XDM® pistols from the factory (see APPENDIX D4 — 21.6 Production Division Rules).
When installed correctly, this kit will give you a short, crisp trigger pull (about 3.5-4.5lbs) with a fast reset and shorten the total trigger pull length.

XD 9 Trigger Kit Upgrade
Living in California we are subject to the "roster" for guns we can purchase. Limited to say the least, but it's getting a little bit better every year. I bought my XD 9mm a few years ago and have the four inch slide on it. I really liked the way the gun shoots and was not going to get rid of it. So I ordered this trigger kit and had my gunsmith install it. Had him put in the blue competition springs with this new trigger. Upgraded the ejector, striker and titanium striker safety kit were also put in. What a big difference in how the trigger is so much cleaner and has a shorter reset. My trigger pull was around 5 lbs and now it is around 3 1/4 lbs. I took it to the range and what a great change in how it shoots. I highly recommend this upgrade and PRP. A great company to do business with.

Impressive Performance
I have previously installed two different trigger kits from other companies on a Springfield Armory Hellcat that barely produced any noticeable difference. This PRP trigger kit is a different monster, it does what it claims to do for sure. I installed the competition springs included in the kit and my Springfield Armory XD completely turned into a different gun, a lot better performing gun. You have to understand, this gun comes from the factory with a decent trigger feel, but with obvious room for improvement. My trigger pull on this gun is now smooth all the way though, it is extremely short but very controllable, and light, very light, without running away from me. I am most definitely installing a PRP trigger kit on my CC Hellcat next.

Trigger kit
Just picked it up from the gun smith and it feels great, The reset is so much better , the pull is much shorter and very clean and crisp. I havent shot it yet but I bet it will feel great.

Drop in Trigger
Got this Drop in Kit with the Black Aluminum Trigger. Had my Gunsmith do it for me. The pull measured 4lbs on the nose. Night and day difference over stock. Feels like a new gun. Seriously, Wow! You will not be disappointed. I also had the Titanium Striker Indicator Kit, Titanium Striker Safety Kit, Polished Striker, Extreme Ejector, and the lighter Mag release Spring put in. I liked my XD 40 Service Model a lot when I got it but now after adding all the PRP parts it is awesome and a joy to shoot. The smoothness of the trigger pull and the Accuracy gained was immediately noticeable. My Gunsmith, who is a Sign fan, when he test fired it after completing the installation(s) said that he was Very Impressed! He said he "wasn't a Springfield fan but that is NICE!" My opinion is It is Worth the Money! You will not be disappointed. It's just so smooth now. (Before having this big build done I had the PRP Safety Retainer Pin installed. It is much beefier. Especially if you dry for and practice a lot with a Laser System)

Quality product. Easy install by following online videos. Trigger pull after install is 3.5 lb. Excellent reset. Customer service is excellent as well. Can’t go wrong with this product.

Trigger upgrade
This kit is the way to go. I never liked the stock trigger and I was contemplating on selling my XD 45. This kit changed my mind. Trigger is awesome. I will also order a kit for my XD 9. Grab this kit you won’t be disappointed. I also spoke to a young lady when I wasn’t sure what upgrade to purchase. She was very informative and took the time to explain all of their products. Excellent customer service.

XD Drop in trigger
It was easy to install. Not as light as I had read. The lightest springs brought it down to 4.25 lbs. The heavier springs were at 5.5 lbs.
