This PRP Drop-In Kit fits the XD Mod.2 SubCompact 3″ in 9mm & .40 cal or the 3.3″ in .45 cal. Does NOT fit XDS single stack models.

It contains our famous striker safety lever and trigger to remove the long trigger pre-travel on the XD MOD.2 trigger with two different weight trigger springs and striker springs (the competition weight springs, the lightest weight, are marked with blue ink). The other reduced weight springs are the sear spring and the striker safety spring which lower the pull weight.  To help speed up the reset, our trigger is made of tough light weight polymer and now available in aluminum anodized black or silver. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. Using this method of over travel stop removes added stress on the trigger bar that is present with any of the other over travel stop method. This trigger is a Springfield Armory® OEM part available on production for XD & XDM pistols from the factory (see APPENDIX D4 — 21.6 Production Division Rules).

When installed correctly, this kit will give you a short, crisp trigger pull (about 3.5-4.5lbs) with a fast reset and shorten the total trigger pull length.

Also available with optional sear upgrade (this is not a drop-in part and will need to be fitted down to the tolerances of your pistol)!!

    Nice

After careful consideration and looking around, I said screw it and bought this trigger kit. Absolutely a night a day difference. Anyone who owns a Springfield knows that their stock trigger is like a teenage kid getting to second base and trying to through some fabric. I threw both the comp and the non comp spring sets in to give it a shot and let me tell you…it’s a world difference. My finger isn’t acting like a teenage kid anymore, it’s going on the damn way. From pull to reset it’s pretty damn awesome. Without a doubt, if you’re thinking about it… just put the money down and you want regret it.

    Night and Day Difference

I've had my Mod.2 for about 7 years and have never done any work on any of my guns besides the occasional night sight upgrade. I like the XD Mod.2 9mm Subcompact "because" of the heavier slide. Also the 13+1/16+1 capacity makes it relevant to this day. BUT, the stock trigger pull just plain SUCKS. This was my first internal parts upgrade to any of my pistols. I watched the PRP and other XD assembly/disassembly videos until I was comfortable enough to begin. During the upgrade, the PRP videos proved most useful because they included some very valuable tips and techniques that helped the upgrade go smoother….well, as smooth as a first DIY trigger upgrade can go. One thing I have to mention is that with PRP, you are also getting expert support should you have any issues. I experienced this first hand when I made a rookie mistake and needed assistance. I reached out to PRP. Daniel contacted me and, let's just say, he got me back on track. The results are night and day compared to the stock trigger. I didn't go with the new sear and the installation did not require any special fitting. Just plug and play.
