This PRP® Drop-In Trigger Kit contains our famous striker safety lever and trigger to remove the long trigger pre-travel on the original series XDM® trigger with two different weight trigger springs and striker springs (the competition weight springs (the lightest weight) are marked with blue ink). The other reduced weight springs are the sear spring and the striker safety spring which helps lower the pull weight. To help speed up the reset, our trigger is made of tough light weight polymer or now available in aluminum anodized black or silver. It also has an integral over travel stop on the back of the trigger. Using this method of over travel stop removes added stress on the trigger bar that are present with any of the other over travel stop methods. The polymer trigger is a Springfield Armory® OEM part available on production for XD® & XDM® pistols from the factory (see APPENDIX D4 21.6 Production Division Rules).
When installed correctly, this kit will give you a short, crisp trigger pull (about 3.5-4.5lbs) with a fast reset and shorten the total trigger pull length.
Not compatible with XDM® Elite series.

Drop in trigger XDM 45
I installed the drop in trigger kit in my XDM45 pistol with a pull weight of 5lb 2oz. Started with the slide and just the lightest striker spring and the safety spring dropped the weight 10 oz. I also polished the safety plunger. I then installed the sear spring and polished the sear contact points. Then installed the new trigger and competition trigger spring. This dropped the pull to about 2lb 4oz. It didn’t have a consistent wall to stage a pull, and I didn’t like it. I then switched to the other reduced trigger spring and only felt a minimal change; of 4 oz. I then installed the factory trigger spring and that combination gave it a consistent light wall and a controllable 3 lb 6 oz pull. It’s a huge improvement now and was not difficult to install. Take pre install photos of the internal parts and note details as you take apart. No instructions with the kit, so you need to find the best PRP video to guide you. There are not good clear images of part orientations in the video and the person flies through each step as they have done it 100 times. Much easier the second time without the need of video.
