Most orders process and ship within 1-2 business days upon receipt of payment and a valid FFL if applicable. No shipping is available on holidays recognized by the United States Postal Service. For parts and accessories purchases, orders ship via United States Postal Service, either 1st Class Mail (typically 2-5 days business days) or Priority Mail (1-3 days business days), these are estimated delivery days, per the customer selection at checkout.

THERE ARE NO DELIVERY GUARANTEES with 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail from the United States Postal Service. Estimated delivery times are automatically calculated by the United States Postal Service. Powder River Precision has no control over either the estimated delivery time or the actual delivery time. Powder River Precision, Inc. is not responsible for items lost or stolen in transit.

If you require expedited shipping, additional shipping fees will apply. You must contact us for a quote if you require expedited shipping. Expedited shipping only applies to transit times, not the processing time.

Slide Milling (slide only) shipments will be returned via United States Postal Service Priority Mail, Insured with a Signature Requirement. Shipping of firearms for a Work Order Form for service repairs and upgrades will be handled through a common carrier for direct shipment from and to the customer, or via United States Postal Service Priority Mail, Insured with a Signature Requirement when shipped by a Federal Firearms Licensee.

All firearms shipments are shipped in compliance with Federal Law and per shipping carrier requirements.

See ATF and USPS shipping guidance below:

ATF.gov: A nonlicensee may ship a firearm by a common or contract carrier to a resident of his or her or her own state or to a licensee in any state. A common or contract carrier must be used to ship a handgun.

In addition, federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm or ammunition, prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm and requires obtaining written acknowledgement of receipt.

[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(2)(A), 922(a)(5), 922(e) and (f); 27 CFR 478.30 and 478.31]

ATF.gov: Any person may ship firearms directly to a licensee in any State, with no requirement for another
licensee to ship the firearm. However, handguns and other concealable firearms are not mailable through the United States Postal Service and must be shipped via private common or contract carrier (18 U.S.C. § 1715). The USPS and private common or contract carriers may also have additional restrictions on firearms shipments by unlicensed persons. Firearms shipped to FFLs for repair or any other lawful purpose may be returned to the person from whom received without transferring the firearm through an FFL in the recipient’s State of residence. FFLs may also return a replacement firearm of the same kind and type to the person from whom received (18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(2)(A)). An ATF Form 4473 is required for the return of the firearm, except in instances when a firearm is delivered to a licensee for the sole purpose of repair or
customizing, and the same firearm or a replacement firearm is returned to the person from whom
received (27 CFR § 478.124(a))

Handguns may also be mailed between licensed manufacturers of firearms, licensed dealers of firearms, and licensed importers of firearms in customary trade shipments, or for repairing or replacing parts.
