This is our PRP® Trigger Kit for the Hellcat® models. It includes our sear, disconnector, striker safety, 2 different sear springs, a disconnector spring, and a striker safety spring. This combination helps to smooth and lighten the trigger pull. Not compatible with CA compliant model options. See part number PRP-HV1-TK2-CA for this option.

The kit also offers your choice of one PRP® Hybrid Trigger Shoe (HTS™) upgrade options featuring an ergonomic blend of flat and curved faced trigger. Our PRP® HTS™ trigger is made from 6061 T6 Aluminum that is precision machined and hard anodized. It re-positions the reach of the trigger slightly to the rear for a more comfortable feel and positive interaction with the trigger safety.

The sear and disconnector are CNC machined out of 440C stainless steel and heat treated to 53-56 RC. The striker safety is machined from 416 stainless steel that is also properly heat treated. The result is a smooth trigger pull from about 3.5 – 4.5 pounds depending on which spring combination you install.

Made in the USA.

    Hellcat Pro Trigger Kit

Posted by Steve White on 8th Jul 2022

This I my second trigger kit from RPR. I had an original Hellcat but the trigger sucked so I bought a kit for it and had a gunsmith install it. It really made a big difference. Unfortunately after a couple of years the recoil was a little more snappy than my arthritic wrists could take so I sold it and bought the Hellcat Pro. Again, on the Pro, the trigger sucked so I bought the second kit for it. Was going to get the gunsmith to install it but the lead time was 4 weeks and the cost had doubled. I wasn’t willing to wait that long so I checked out RPR’s online install video. I found it to be a really straight forward installation and decided to give it a try. Being extra careful it took me roughly an hour and a half to do the install. A word of warning take note of the warning in the video about the lock ring for the striker pin capture ring. It is very small and will fall out without you noticing it. I took it to the range the next day and ran 125 rounds through it without any issues at all. The trigger dropped from a six and half pound hard break (I mean solid dead stop) trigger to a four pound rolling break trigger. This was a major improvement. I would highly recommend the RPR trigger kit for the Hellcat and Hellcat Pro. The Hellcat is an excellent EDC but if you are an “OLD MAN”

    PRP Hellcat Pro kit

I generally just put a kit in all my guns and this one was no different. The pull measured 5.75-6 pounds which is crazy. Installed the lightest springs and it dropped it to smooth 4 lbs. Another improvement was the angle of the new trigger which helped greatly. With the stock trigger I was getting my finger pinched between it and the trigger guard. The new trigger keeps my finger up off the guard.
