Our PRP Extended Grip Safety for the XDS and XDS Mod.2 is CNC machined from hardened tool steel and designed to provide a more positive deactivation of the safety when the pistol is properly gripped. It also helps to position your hand high on the pistol for a more consistent grip. It doesn’t hurt that it looks great too. The PRP Extended Grip Safety includes an option for the arm installed or without an arm and is available in stainless steel or black. Instructions are included to help with installing this item.
*Please note: this PRP Extended Grip Safety Kit is designed to work on XDS pistols that are manufactured post recall or that have had the recall work performed on them. If you have an XDS that is covered by the recall and has not yet had the recall performed, we highly recommend that you contact Springfield® and have the recall completed on your pistol.

Nice Enhancement
I've never had any issues with any of my XD/XDM/XDS grip safeties so I really added this mostly for aesthetics. I got the black, it is beautifully machined and finished plus I have a little extra assurance in case I have a sloppy grip.
